For someone who is not really ‘into’ this kind of comic I was astounded by the lovely artwork by Rhys ap Gwyn and Mike Luoma’s snappy script. Anybody who can come up with a character’s name like ‘Red Hot’ and a villain such a ‘Mind Man’ deserves some respect! Luoma’s very strange layouts work a treat, too – he breaks every rule in the book, proving again that there are NO rules; it shouldn’t work, yet it does.
The strip boasts a colourful cartoon style by Gwyn (the art really is lovely), and the funny, quirky, story is about a ‘hero’ trying to prove to the world he is what he says he is: A Hero.

If this is anything to go by, the creators at Earthbound comics are fast becoming heroes of mine, never mind their great comic books.
